United Kingdom : British Health Agency launches new fake medicines awareness campaign

The MHRA’s latest campaign focuses mainly on fake erectile dysfunction medicines sold online. Recently published data reveals that 3.5 million unlicensed erectile dysfunction tablets worth more than £10m ($13m) were seized in the UK last year. Erectile dysfunction is estimated to affect around one in five men in the UK, some 4.3 million people, but 44 per cent of those aged over 40 have never sought medical help for the condition. The MHRA’s “Don’t leave your night to chance” campaign aims to curb online purchases.
