The Agra Drug Administration (DA) simultaneously carried out two raids on a pharmacy in Balkeshwar and a house. A DA spokesperson reported that: “We’ve seized over Rs 25 lakh worth of antibiotics, anti-allergic medicines, multivitamins, calcium and others, which we suspect are fake or expired”. A total of 3,100 vials of medicines were found submerged in a bucket full of chemicals to remove their manufacture date. The medicines were then packaged with fake medicine and sold in remote villages in Agra and the neighboring districts.
