Chad : Health Minister confirms need to introduce law against fake medicine trafficking

The first national health conferences were held on April 16 to 18 in N’Djamena, Chad’s capital city. The initiative was organized by the health ministry and partners to thoroughly analyze the fake medicines issue in Chad. Aziz Mahamat Saleh, Chad’s Public Health Minister, opened the conferences by saying: “A law against fake medicine trafficking is of the utmost necessity. The increase of illegal pharmacies and warehouses must be addressed during these conferences so that they may be banned in the future with the help of a newly-established sanitary inspection unit.”
