Peru and Ecuador join forces in the fight against illicit medicine trafficking

The Medicines Regulatory Authorities in Peru and Ecuador have launched a series of interventions to fight illicit trade in pharmaceuticals. Investigations are being carried out in pharmacies and stores in the border areas between both countries. A pharmacy was sealed after expired medicines with no batch number or expiry date were found on the premises during the Aguas Verdes investigation on a Peruvian pharmacy chain.
