Counterfeit anti-malarial medicines worry the population in Darfur

People of West Darfur are worried about their health. Expired or counterfeit anti-malarial medicines are sold on the markets, causing the death of several people. The last two victims identified were treated with medicines bought from a trader in Nierteti, in central Darfur.

Requests for the launch of an anti-counterfeiting campaign have been submitted to the West Darfur state Ministry of Health.
