Blue pills falling into the lap of customs officers

(Hungarian customs – 05/04/2012) Customs have found fake blue pills in a postal consignment sent from abroad. At the Ferenc Liszt International Airport, officers of NTCA have selected a parcel arriving from India for control. The addressee intended to forward the consignment of 643 kg to Ukraine. After opening the package, more than 1 million pills of the color blue, resembling Viagra, have been found. The holder of the intellectual property right has verified the pills, and confirmed that they were fakes, looking exactly as the original ones. Customs officers have seized the pills worth 221 million Forints. Criminal procedures were initiated on suspicion of counterfeiting. Within one week, this was already the second case of fake Viagra detected by NTCA officers. The weekend before a couple from Békéscsaba has been arrested, selling fake aphrodisiacs. In their house pills of very poor quality, worth 300 million Forints, have been found.
